Deere's 2nd-quarter net fell 59%

Article Abstract:

Deere & Co. posted a drop of 59% in its earnings for the second quarter of 1999. Depressed industry conditions contributed to the company's poor performance in the quarter. Deere posted $150.1 million in net income for the quarter ending on April 30, 1999. During the same period in 1998, the US agricultural equipment manufacturer posted $365.2 million. Deere posted a 55% decline in earnings per share to 65 cents per diluted share.

Deere swung to loss in 4th quarter, expects market to remain weak

Article Abstract:

Deere and Co. reported a $320.1 million loss for the quarter ending ending October 31, 2001. The company also forecasted a 3% to 7% decline in sales for the 2002 first-quarter.
