DENMARK: PRINGLES HAS ENTERED CRISP MARKET

Article Abstract:

In August, the American potato crisp brand Pringles, produced by Procter & Gamble, entered the Danish market. The brand was successful from start and reached a 16-18% market share, but the share has now been reduced to 8-9%. Director Fritz Rasmussen at Kims doesn't expect that Pringles will reach Procter & Gamble's target, a 20% market share. The paper writes that Estrella's sales have been somewhat more negatively affected than Kims' by the new competitor.
