Denmark: M-commerce not developed yet
Article Abstract:
Payments via the mobile Internet has not yet found a market in Denmark in spite of the advantages that the mobile phone can offer, according to the paper. The mobile phone needs a personal identification to operate, just as a payment card. Furthermore, the SIM card is as spread as Dankortet, the Danish payment card. Finally, the mobile phone is as safe as a payment card, maybe even safer. In order to make m-commerce more popular content producers, banks and mobile operators have to co-operate in producing a system that is big enough for all to profit from. Secondly, customers have to accept payments via the mobile phone. This demands a correlation between price and quality, not as today when customers are offered to down load ring signals and logotypes for high costs.

Denmark: TDC offers Hotmail service for mobiles
Article Abstract:
TDC, the Danish telecoms company, is the first mobile operator in the world to offer its Danish and Swiss clients a service whereby they can receive e-mail messages from Microsoft's Hotmail services on their mobiles. The TDC client receives an SMS on its mobile as soon as a new e-mail message arrives. It informs of the sender and the title and costs DKr1 to receive. After this, the next part of the mail can be fetched by the user by sending an SMS. Answering e-mail messages and forwarding them is also possible with the new service.
