Laurel Baer established the Bottomless Closet to help unemployed women make a good first impression. The store carries business suits, briefcases and accessories donated by working women and loans them to jobseekers to help them get through the interview and the first few weeks of employment.

A volunteer for Parents Anonymous (PA) remembers when she used to panic each time her colicky infant daughter cried. Having been talked into attending PA meetings by a counselor, she has learned to enjoy motherhood and is grateful to the group in helping her rear her now 11-year-old girl.
