EC to take action against Greek toy advertising ban
Article Abstract:
Following a two year wait the European Commission has finally decided to challenge Greece on its policy of preventing any advertisements for toys appearing on Greek television. Toy manufacturers welcome this decision but express concern that Greece will continue to stop advertising which toy makers see as an important part of the European Uniion policy on freedom to trade. Limiting advertising aimed at children is likely to be included in polices due for consideration at the European Parliament.
