EU cuts catch by 10%

The Fisheries Council of the European Union has cut fish quotas in deep-sea stocks in the EU by 10% for the year 2005. The complex nature of the EU fisheries legislation has led the commission to make efforts to simplify the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy.
