EU probes Spain's new fuel subsidy

Article Abstract:

Spain's government has increased fuel subsidy to fishermen from 0.06 euros to 0.095 euros after fishermen in the country stopped access to its ports. Such an increase may not be permitted under European Union's rules regulating competition. Consequently, European Union is investigating into this hike of fuel subsidy by Spain.

$ 81M plan to aid US salmon men

Article Abstract:

The Pacific Fishery Management Council and the National Oceanic Atmospheric Organization (NOAA) has urged Californian government to decrease its planned 81million dollar disaster relief fund to 40 percent. The association has asked the authorities to protect the interests of salmon fishing companies.
