EU Commission seeks changes in farm subsidies
Article Abstract:
The European Commission has proposed changes to its agricultural subsidy program, which include scaling down direct subsidies and introducing improved water and biodiversity conservation measures. It also plans for an increase in milk production quotas and increased biofuels usage.

Article Abstract:
U.S., Europe, India, Brazil and Australia have agreed on ways to change farm protection policies, such as subsidies and tariffs. The agreement still needs the approval of the World Trade Organization members.
