Electrified bourse
Article Abstract:
Malaysian electric company Tenaga Nasional Berhad's shareholders doubled their investments when the offering opened at the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) on May 28, 1992. The success of the Tenaga issue followed the 1990 gain of Telekom Malaysia Bhd. With a price of 8 Malaysian dollars on its first trading day, the shares soared to 8.85 Malaysian dollars after only 30 minutes. Investors will most likely be attracted by the fact that Tenaga is Malaysia's second largest company on the KLSE after Telekom. Analysts have adviced that they should not buy until prices fall to 6.80 Malaysian dollars.
