Escape the red queen effect in competitive strategy: sense - testing business models

Article Abstract:

The 'red queen effect' refers to running a business harder in order to stay competitive. In the present day situations, for businesses to stay competitive, it is not sufficient to make a business run harder, but being smart is equally important. Therefore managers are suggested to use a sense-testing tool thereby reinventing business models and changing industry rules. A systematic sensing-tool helps managers to understand the concept, help them to become aware of the industry when ripe for any kind of dramatic change and help create a new business model.
