Eta is successful in Hungary
Article Abstract:
Eta (Hlinsko v Cechach, Czech Republic), household electrical appliance manufacturer, exported goods worth 135 mil Kc to Hungary in 1998. The sum was 57% higher compared to 1997. About 10% of Eta's total exports went to Hungary in 1998. In 1998 Hungary was the firm's third most important market after Germany and Slovakia. Eta sold about 73,000 vacuum cleaners in Hungary in 1998, 80% more compared to 1997. The company took the leading position among 14 competition trade marks on the Hungarian market in 1998. An importan part of Eta's sales in Hungary is ensured by the subsidiary Eta Magyarorszag KFT (Hungary).

Successful workout for Dawnay Day

UK-based financial boutique Dawnay Day has risen in the league table of UK boutiques to number six, after announcing a workload of up to 200 million pounds sterling in 1998. The company specializes in secondary issue, acquisition, disposals and cross-border assignments. The completion of a 22 million pounds sterling acquisition of the Harbour Club in London by Vardon was one of Dawnay Day's largest deals in 1998.

Successful operation for Banca di Roma

The privatization of 67% of Banca di Roma has been finalized raising Lira2.8 trillion. The domestic retail offer of shares, institutional offer and convertible bond offer were all oversubscribed. The Libyan Arab Foreign bank is to take 5% of Banca di Roma and this attracted the attention of the US government.
