European Telecoms take another hit

Professional money managers are pulling out of telecom companies. Thus the intiial piublic offering for Spanish mobile operator Telefonica Moviles was priced near the bottom of its previously announced range. Stock prices for Telekom Austria and KPN N.V. are also down.

All large telephone projects in Iraq will be delayed by the Bush administration until an interim government is formed in the country. The U.S. wants the Iraqis themselves to operate the country's telephone system.
