Article Abstract:

Danmarks Vindm lleforening, the association of wind power park owners in Denmark, proposes separate regulation of the erection of huge wind power generators. The reason behind this is that the Danish Minister of Energy and the Environment, Svend Auken, has proposed restrictions on investments in wind power generators on Danish soil, and that this could threaten further installations. The association would prefer that ordinary, minor generators could be erected according to the present regulation, while restrictions are imposed only on "giant" generators which could be to the disadvantage of the Danish landscape.

DENMARK: EUROCOM TO REDUCE STAFFING LEVELS

Article Abstract:

The Danish company Eurocom Industries, which is a producer of equipment for marine communications, will reduce staffing levels by 100 employees. The plant at Frederikssund will be closed down, and 60 employees at the plant in Aalborg will be made redundant. The company estimates about a zero result for 1999.
