SPENCER'S PLANS EXPANSION TO BOOST RETAIL BUSINESS

Article Abstract:

Spencer and Company Ltd (SCL) of the RPG group plans to expand to increase its retail business through Food World, Health and Glow and Music World outlets. It will also expand its airline travel business. It plans to sell its 100 years old Spencer's brand, which is expected to fetch a huge amount. SCL's retail outlets are expected to be 46 in about one year. It posted a turnover of Rs208 crore in 1997-98. (gs)
