FRANCE: CANDIA'S EOLE CONCEPT IS SUCCESSFUL

Article Abstract:

Candia's EOLE (Evolution of milk selection in space) has been used in 140 supermarkets and hypermarkets and 7 French retail chains since it was launched. All of the stores of some of these chains may adopt the concept by the end of 2001. Candia receives a request to reorganise a store's milk department every day. According to the qualitative studies which have been carried out, clients find the EOLE concept clearer and more comprehensible, and they remain longer in this section, especially in the Decouverte area, where 95% of them stop. Analysis of stores in which the concept is installed show that sales have increased an average of 5.02% and the turnover has increased 9.12% within three months.

FRANCE: NESTLE LAUNCHES LAIT & FRUITS

Article Abstract:

Nestle has introduced Lait & Fruits, a skim milk beverage with fruit for children. This drink comes in banana-apple and peach-pear varieties, and is packaged in a 125 ml brick carton. The recommended sales price is EUR 1.52 for a pack of two cartons. Lait & Fruits has a 12-month use-by date.
