'Fanatic' Hierholz joins SVY&R
Article Abstract:
Pascal Hierholz has been appointed as creative director of Saint-Jacques Vallee Young & Rubicam (SVY&R) of Montreal, Quebec. He was a senior art director at SVY&R from 1996 to 1998 but resigned to become the creative director of Publicis-Torma in Helsinki, Finland. Hierholz succeeds Caroline Jarvis who was appointed creative director of Vancouver's Grapheme-Koo. He has won 30 creative awards in Europe, Canada, and the US for clients such as AT&T, Lipton, Domtar and Whippet.

Gary Holme takes top Wolf CD job
Article Abstract:
Wolf Group Canada has hired Gary Holme as its creative director, a post that was vacated in late-1998 by Bill Lower when he decided to form his own ad agency. Holme, who was previously vice president and group creative head of Harrod and Mirlin/FCB in Toronto, Canada, plans to introduce the same brand of open creative process he observed while working in ad agencies such as Fallon McElligott in Minneapolis, MN, and TBWA Chiat/Day in Toronto, Canada.

Jarvis exits Grapheme-Koo
Article Abstract:
Grapheme-Koo creative director Caroline Jarvis, a well-known figure in the advertising industry in Vancouver, British Columbia, has decided to leave her post after only two months. Jarvis, who took the job on Dec 4, 2000, said that advertising and not design was really her main forte. Grapheme- Koo managing director Julia Koo said that they are relying on Mandrake Consultants to find a suitable replacement for Jarvis.
