Ferrovial wins battle for BAA

Grupo Ferrovial S.A. of Spain purchased an additional 12.9 percent of BAA PLC of the United Kingdom forcing a rival to withdraw its acquisition bid. The construction company is to acquire the British airport operator after four months of haggling.

FCC cement unit to buy stake in Spain's Uniland
Article Abstract:
Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas S.A. of Spain has agreed to purchase a 51 percent stake in Uniland Cementera S.A. also of Spain for 1.09 billion Euros ($1.41 billion). The deal will extend FCC into worldwide markets.
