Fighting China on U.S. soil
Article Abstract:
In what some could describe as ineffective, the Bush administration's effort to protect U.S. jobs must be balanced against geo-political concerns in Asia. Even so, the Bush administration is being pressured by U.S. senators, business groups, and labor unions to impose a protectionist policy. Currently, the U.S. trade deficit with China is $130 billion. Some have even suggested that China let its currency float.
