The Alexander Technique (AT) is ranked as the most effective pain-relief method, by correcting bad postural habits and movements that leads to aches and muscle tension. Barry Scheinfeld, M.D., director of rehabilitation medicine at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, New Work, believes that the philosophy behind AT is that maintaining the correct relationship between the head, neck and spine is critical to the release of mind-body tension.
