Finite-capacity scheduling-based planning for revenue-based capacity management

Article Abstract:

The MinFragCost heuristic was developed for the finite-capacity scheduling-based planning of revenue-based capacity management. Finite capacity scheduling-based production planning based on the MinFragCost provided the best total present value criterion compared to other heuristics such as BackwardInsert and ForwardInsert. However, the performance of the BackwardInsert heuristic was improved when coupled with compaction.
