The design of Butterfly House at Greenwich is discussed. Laurie Chetwood, architect of this weekend home says that the Butterfly House has given him a chance to explore where the high-passion, expressive end of the spectrum leads, both for himself and as a test bed for the practice.

A project by two architects and a designer creating three dwellings in a joint self-build project is described. Self-build is the radical approach taken to address the rising prices of housing in London and to general lack of interesting dwellings at the bottom of the market.
