Fuzzy versus statistical linear regression

Article Abstract:

The comparative properties and performance of statistical and fuzzy regression are analyzed. Comparative factors include data set size and quality, correctness of model specification, existence of autocorrelation and heteroscedasticity and nonrandomness of error terms. Differences in the basic assumptions of the two approaches are found to be basically rooted in their treatment of uncertainty. Statistical regression is found to be superior in terms of predictive capability.

Optimization of printed circuit board manufacturing: integrated modeling and algorithms

Article Abstract:

Research into an integrated optimization problem intended to boost productivity in printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing is presented. It was established that, if the optimal vehicle routing problem costs are known, the optical PCB solution can be found using the integrated algorithm.
