GOVT ALLOWS ROYALTY PAYMENTS FOR DUPONT PROJECT WITH RIDERS
Article Abstract:
The government has permitted royalty payments for the DuPont nylon project with the condition that it will disallowed if the company becomes a 100 percent subsidiary of DuPont. The government has made it clear that the total payments as lumpsum and royalty should not exceed 8 percent of the sales over a period of ten years from the date of agreement or seven years from the date of commencement of production. TEA CROP MAY FALL BY 22 M KG
Article Abstract:
India is likely to report 22 million kg fall in its tea production during the first three months of 1999, according to Mr Subodh Paul, vice-president of Contemporary Target Ltd. According to him, India has 30 million kg of unsold tea from the 1998 crop. While North India's tea crop is likely to fall by 15 million kg, South India's crop may go down by 7 million kg during January-March 1999. (ag)(psr)
