Article Abstract:
The maximum price, VAT included of heating oil and fuel oil is being cut in Belgium as of 20 August 1998, the government announced. The maximum price of sulphur-free lamp oil will be BFr 8.36 per litre for an amount of less than 2,000 litres (down BFr 0.24) and BFr 7.59 for 2,000 litres and more (down Bfr 2.24). Respectively, prices will be BFr 7.94 (down Bfr 0.21) and BFr 7.16 (down BFr 0.21) for lamp oil for heating, and BFr 7.7 (down BFr 0.24) and BFr 6.93 (down Bfr 0.24) for heating fuel oil.

TUI Belgium 50% entre les mains de JetAir
Article Abstract:
TUI, the European tourism group worth BFr 20bn in turnover, has become the largest operator in Belgium. The group has signed an agreement with the Brackx family through which the latter takes 50% of TUI Belgium. TUI Belgium recently purchased from Travel Unie Nederland the stocks of the BIT (Belgium International Travel) company. The agreement has given birth to a new tourism operator in Belgium. The Brackx family controls JetAir, the Belgian tour operator.
