Giles Worsley 1961 - 2006

Article Abstract:

Giles Worsley was a passionate lover of his native county and wrote an outstanding doctoral thesis, which was eventually published as The British Stable in 2004 and his most significant work was 'Classical Architecture in Britain: The Heroic Age', which appeared in 1995. He was diagnosed with cancer, which he fought bravely.

The exhibition, Other Criteria: Sculpture in 20th Century Britain was held at the Henry Moore Institute, 74 The Headrow, Leeds until 28thth March, 2004. It displayed not only the works of sculptures and maquettes but also drawings, photographs, the letters and other papers of sculptures, publications and printed ephemera.
