The forest products industry is joining with home builders in protest over the rising price of lumber. Part of the reason the price of wood has grown so high is because production has been forced down because of conservation efforts and species protection.

Blackcap birds in Germany are migrating in large numbers to England in the winter instead of going to Spain, which was once the norm. Biologists think this new behavior is a result of a navigational gene mutation.
