Article Abstract:

Project Rosemary, a group of concerns which focus on inner city sites in Liverpool, England, has gained a reputation for dealing with projects which other developers are unwilling to handle. It is headed by Derrick Walters, who is also the Dean of the Anglican Cathedral in the city. It has been involved in a number of private and public sector housing schemes, and is now seeking private sector support for the Chavasse Park Millennium scheme. This has already received funding of 11.5 million pounds sterling from DTI challenge resources.

The Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens commissioned Winnie Amass and his Rotterdam practice, MVRDV to bring their intellectually inventive style to the United Kingdom for the first time. MRDVEs buildings express concerns about density and the increasing and often conflicting demands for space and shelter.
