The 'Soup Nazi' expands real-life 'Seinfeld' character plans to franchise his store; a ban on sitcom tie-ins

Al Yeganeh, the original 'Soup Nazi' of Seinfeld fame, is planning to franchise is successful New York business, Soup Kitchen International. Perspective franchisees will have to market his famous soup without tie-ins to the Soup Nazi character. Yaganeh hopes to create about 1,000 franchises in the U.S. within five to seven years.
