CABE: aim for the sky--but look to the past

Article Abstract:

CABE and English Heritage are jointly offering "Guidance on tall buildings." Tall buildings in recent years have not been distinguishable from other buildings except for the fact that they are taller. However, tall buildings are seen more often than smaller buildings, and there is public interest in examining proposals for tall buildings.

New Maggie's Centre from Hawkins/Brown

Article Abstract:

Hawkins/Brown has received planning approval for a UKPd640,000 refubishment and expansion of a villa to set up a new Maggie's Centre in Sheffield, England. Elliott Wood Partnership will be involved in engineering work for the facility covering 234 square meters of space internally. The effort is slated to be finished by Easter 2004.
