Cormark Communications, an advertising agency based in London, Ontario, was able to break into the advertising big leagues through specialization. Aside from agrimarketing, Cormark has also become an expert in providing advertising services to the animal health products, financial services and retail industries. As of 1998, the company has grown to a three-office agency with 60 full-time employees. Its 1999 revenue is expected to surpass $7.5 million.

Article Abstract:

A rating system is proposed to determine the quality of relationship between the advertising agency and its client. The Client Agency Relationship Evaluation (CARE) survey allows both the agency and the client to rate each other and themselves on more than 25 relationship characteristics. By allowing both parties to compare viewpoints, the low- cost tool should identify gaps in perception immediately.

Phillips Beverage to Holmes & Lee

Article Abstract:

Minneapolis, Minn.-based Phillips Beverage Co. has selected Toronto-based Holmes and Lee to handle the North American launch of its new distilled spirit product this fall 2000. Holmes and Lee will handle package design and the strategic and creative development to launch the new brand. The product is the first of its brands to be manufactured and developed in Canada.
