Gulf Oil to buy lubricants producer

Article Abstract:

Saudi Arabian lubricants manufacturer Petromin will be bought by Gulf Oil International Ltd. from its joint venture firms Exxon Mobil Corp. and Saudi Arabian Oil Co. The deal is valued at $200 mil, and, with Hinduja Group as Gulf Oil's parent company, is one of the biggest investments in Saudi Arabia by an India-based firm.

PetroKazakhstan Inc. of Canada and operating out of Kazakhstan is to be acquired. China National Petroleum Corp. and ONGC Videsh Ltd. of India are currently in a bidding war with the most recent offer from China National Petroleum Corp. at a bid of $4.18 billion.
