HDFC BANK EYES NASDAQ LISTING

Article Abstract:

HDFC Bank is negotiating to get itself listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange. It will be the first Indian bank or financial services company to do so if the listing materialises. The bank is keen to get a listing on Nasdaq and says that it has a profitable balance sheet and no non-performing assets. Chase Capital Partners, an affiliate of the Chase Manhattan venture fund, recently acquired a 15 percent stake in HDFC Bank. (khr)

BANK OF BARODA INSTRUMENTS

Article Abstract:

The Rs600 crore subordinated bonds issue of the Bank of Baroda has been assigned an LAAA rating by Icra. The credit rating agency has also assigned an LAAA rating to the bank's Rs500 crore bonds issue, an MAAA rating to its term deposit and an A1+ rating to its commercial deposit programme. (khr)
