Global Telecom Services Ltd (GRSL) is being re-named as Global Electronic Commerce Services Ltd (GECS) with effect from September 21, 1998. It offers value-added telecommunication services like enhanced fax services, electronic mail and electronic data interchange (EDI). The change in name is to make a more appropriate projection of the company's business activities. The entity and structure of the company will remain the same. (uh)

BOC FAILS TO DECLARE 1998 DIVIDEND

Article Abstract:

BOC India has not declared dividend for the year ended September 30, 1998. The company has said that it has not declared any dividends to shareholders due to depressed operational results and reduced profits. It posted a net profit of Rs6.1 crore on a turnover of Rs236.5 crore in 1997-98 compared to a net profit of Rs8.4 crore on a turnover of Rs232.9 crore in 1996-97. (khr)
