IVRCL's NET DOWN 51%
Article Abstract:
The net profit of IVR Constructions Ltd has declined by 51 percent to Rs1.49 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 1998 against Rs3.02 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 1997. This decline is because its turnover fell by 153 percent to Rs27.64 crore from Rs70 crore. The company managed to reduce its expenditure by 61 percent to Rs23.78 crore and interest cost from Rs4.11 crore to Rs1.71 crore. Its other income came down to Rs30.81 lakh from Rs98.55 lakh. It provided Rs40 lakh towards depreciation and Rs40 lakh towards taxation in the third quarter of 1998-99. (khr)

IVRCL BAGS Rs54.2-CR CONTRACT FROM BHEL

IVR Constructions Ltd has won a Rs52.20 crore contract from the Employees Housing Society of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) for the construction and development of the housing colony at BHEL-Ramachandrapuram near Hyderabad. The contract involves constructing 1936 individual housing units, development of all amenities, internal roads, water supply connections and 4.3 mw electrical installation for the second phase of the BHEL MIG Employees Housing Society.
