In Dow Jones's locker

Article Abstract:

Dow Jones chief executive and chairman, Peter Kann, has been criticized for the performance of the company's stock price. Dow Jones products are strong in terms of content, but distribution has been a problem. Telerate, the real time data and news service, and cable business new ventures have not been successful. Wall Street Journal has seen a drop in its American circulation. The interactive version of Wall Street Journal is, however, performing well, and Dow Jones's electronic businesses have benefited from the Internet. Kann's investment in this area has performed well, though he may not receive the credit due to him.
