Article Abstract:
Robert Zatorre and Diana Deutsch used different methods to examine how the brain processes speech and music. Zatorre concluded that different centers of the brain handle pitch and emphasis. Deutsch's research focused on how high-low patterns are heard in each ear.

Article Abstract:
The growing number of classical music competitions that lure musicians with prize money are turning the genre into more of a sport than an art form. The sheer number of competitions has made it less likely that musicians will attract agents through competitions.
