Japan, India seek to boost trade

Article Abstract:

Shinzo Abe, Japan's prime minister, is promoting a bilateral trade agreement with India that is expected to almost triple trade between the nations during the next three years. India-Japan trade reached approximately $7.3 bil during the fiscal year ending March 31. India imported $4.5 bil of Japanese goods while exporting $2.8 bil of Indian goods to Japan.

French trade deficit tied to lack of basic overhauls

French trade minister Herve Novelli identified an absence of structural overhauls rather than the strength of the euro as the primary reason for the nation's continuing trade deficit, urging French firms to grow in order to ramp up exports. France's trade deficit is currently at $4.14 bil.
