Japan: OK sells EAC Japan to Micro Matic

Micro Matic has bought EAC Japan from OK. The parties decline to disclose the purchase price. According to OK, however, the sale will generate a profit for OK and release DKr75mn in working capital. EAC Japan's main business is the import and distribution of Micro Matic's products and other industrial equipment for the brewing sector in Japan, Vietnam and the Philippines. The sale of EAC Japan is in line with OK's strategy to focus on the four strategic unit within the group i.e. EAC Nutrition, EAC Foods, EAC Industrial Ingredients and EAC Moving and Relocation Services.

Russia: Bryggerigruppen aims at making acquisition

Bryggerigruppen, the Danish brewery group, wishes to acquire a brewery in Russia, but has not yet found an acquisition object. The main purpose would be supporting exports of the brand Faxe. Bryggerigruppen's MD Jorgen Worning says the acquisition has to be carried out within the next three years; if not, it may be too late.

DENMARK: BRYGGERIGRUPPEN ACQUIRES 25% OF PEVA POLAND

Bryggerigruppen, the Danish brewing company, has acquired the Polish distribution company Peva Polish. The company declines to reveal the exact purchase price. However, managing director Jorgen Worning says the purchase price is "slightly more than DKr3-4mn (US$365,000-487,000).
