The Tiananmen anniversary is a reminder to Hong Kong of the communist powers, in their fight for political liberties. China attempted to legislate national security laws, as an assertion of it's right to be the final arbiter of the local constitution but Hong KongEs outrage in July, 2003 showed that people are not going to easily give up their freedom.
