KKR nears deal for Daimler unit: U.S. private-equity firm would pay euro 1.2 billion for aero-engines business

Kohlberg, Kravis Roberts and Company LP and DaimlerChrysler AG are close to finalizing an agreement for KKR to purchase Daimler's aircraft engine division. The deal is expected to include the assumption of euro 250 million in liabilities.
