Dead end for LG Telecom?

Article Abstract:

South Korean mobile phone service provider LG Telecom Co. lost a government licensing bid for wideband code-division multiple access services (WCDMA), and analysts are pessimistic about the company's future. LG Telecom is allowed to bid for a CDMA-2000 license, but the differences in the technology standards as well as the infrastructure responsibilities could be a strain on the firm.

Hynix investors are nervous about low chip demand

Article Abstract:

South Korean chip maker Hynix Semiconductor's share prices have dropped 50% since it raised $1.25 billion from global depository receipts in June, as investors worried about mass conversion of stocks. Unless dynamic random access memory chip prices rebound, analysts would not recommend Hynix for long-term investment.
