Kuala Lumpur happy hour
Article Abstract:
Small companies eagerly await their opening in the Kuala Lumpur stock market's second listing to see how the market values their companies. Company owners eagerly await the 9:30 opening of the market to evaluate how the market valuation affects their financial standing. Many small companies have made significant earnings in their opening day at the second listing, with stock prices increasing by over 100%. These market valuations enable a company to have better stature in their loans. The Malaysian stock market is characterized by its robust growth, which entices many small companies to participate in trading.

Kuala Lumpur, Chicago take tower tiff to new heights
Article Abstract:
The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat has ruled Petronas towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to be the tallest building in the world, beating out Chicago, IL's Sears Tower by several feet. Chicago residents, however, are not convinced that the Malaysian building is higher. They contend that the Petronas towers' height of 1,483 ft. is only made possible by 243-ft. decorative spires. They also argue that the Sears Tower's height should be recalculated to take into account two steel tubes which support broadcast antennas.

Malaysia continues push for 'Asians-only' caucus
Article Abstract:
Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad's aspirations of forming an 'Asians-only' trade group appear to be materializing. Although his proposal in the early 1990s for an East Asia Economic Caucus gained little support from nations in the region that feared that such a grouping would hamper global free trade, Mahathir claims that the increasing number of regional talks proves that an Asians-only caucus already exists in fact if not in name.
