Labatt's Kitchen dead at 44
Article Abstract:
Don Kitchen, president of Labatt Breweries North America, died of a heart attack on Aug 17, 2000, while on a business trip in Brussels, Belgium. Kitchen was responsible for increasing Labatt's market share, largely through the 'Out of the Blue' campaign and its sponsorship of CBC's Hockey Night in Canada. He also worked for Colgate-Palmolive for 18 years before his stint at Labatt. Kitchen is survived by his wife, Linda, and sons Andrew and Adam.

MacLaren, DDB shuffle at the top

Canadian advertising executives Tony Miller is moving from MacLaren McCann in Toronto to assume the position of regional director of McCann-Erickson for North America, while Norman Rigg will leave DDB Group Canada and become the regional director of worldwide accounts for Asia of DDB. Miller will remain chairman of MacLaren and Domenic Caruso was appointed president and COO.
