MOLDAVIA: RAILROAD RESTRUCTURING
Article Abstract:
The Moldavian government has issued an invitation to tender in order to find partners to help it specify the role of public and private railroad transport in the future as part of Moldavia's railroad transport program, and to draw up a restructuring and/or privatisation plan for the network. Use of railroads has dropped sharply since the break-up of the Soviet Union. The application is to be filed on 31 March 2001.
