Pay-TV business is likely to turn out a winner for TVB

Most of region tunes out Hallmark Films

Crown Media Holdings Inc.'s Hallmark Entertainment Network has been sending its made-for-television movies , such as "Snow White" and "Jackie, Ethel, Joan: Women of Camelot," to Asia, where audiences would prefer action television programs, with local actors speaking their own language. Asians still like American movies, but these are the Hollywood films. By comparison, Sony Corp. of Japan has spent millions developing shows specifically for the market. Hallmark's approach to the Asian market is discussed.
