Material world: The company Sto AG manufactures renders and paints, concrete repair and protetion systems, thermal insulation and acoustic systems, at its headquarters in Stulingen-Weizen, Germany
Article Abstract:
Sto's facilities in the village of Weizen were gradually dwarfing the village's domestic scale and there was a need to plan the next stage of its development, which meant re-routing the main road around the village. The first stage of the plan is Building K which is dynamic, prominent and striking, with staggered floors giving the appearance of an ocean-liner. The building is essentially symmetrical, although its cant means that a different face is presented to each direction of the road.
