The miniature cake market is expected to increase in value to 157 million pounds sterling by the year 2002, driven by lunchbox trends and licensed goods. Almost 95% of miniature cakes are sold through supermarkets, with the remaining 5% accounted for by impulse purchase and smaller retailers.
