Article Abstract:

Danish NEG Micon has acquired the Dutch company NedWind, which is the last major independent wind power factory in Europe. This is NEG Micon's fourth acquisition since the merger between Micon and Nordtank, and it is also the last according to the chairman of the board in NEG Micon Gerhard Albrecthsen. NEG Micon has no plans to relocate production to Denmark, but synergy benefits will be used in order to streamline operations.

Article Abstract:

By the beginning of 2000, the Danish diesel motor manufacturer MaK Scandinavia will be acquired by the Dutch group Geveke. Until then, MaK Scandinavia, which has about a DKr 50mn (USD 7mn) turnover, is a subsidiary of the German company MaK Motoren.
