Emap PLC said that its division in the US posted a drop in advertising revenues for the late 1999 period. The company's US division posted a 7% decline in ad revenues for the last three months of 1999.

Reed Elsevier gets European business of Miller Freeman

United States periodical publisher National Georgraphic Society expands into Europe as it unveils new editions of the National Geographic in Poland, Germany and France. The national editions of National Geographic in French, German and Polish were a joint venture project of Germany's publishing company Gruner and Jahr, Spain's RBA Editores, licensed by the National Geographic Society.
