DaimlerChrylster AG of Germany has appointed Dieter Zetsche Chief Executive Officer, the official transition occurs on January 1st, 2006. The first missive of Mr. Zetsche was to discourage "infighting" and "intrigues", in effect setting the tone for the corporate culture of the automobile giant. The appointment of more down to earth Chief Executive Officers who are more accountable to shareholders has become a trend in corporate governance.
